Prakash Magdum: I am so glad that for this particular topic, we have with us Veit Helmer, someone who has the distinction of being both, a filmmaker and a restorer. It is a unique combination because what I observed during my time at the archives was that generally after filmmakers make a film, they forget about it, and go on to do the next film. Preservation and restoration are not on their agenda. I am glad he is here, someone who has actually restored films. We will begin by asking him, what restoration is, as a move from analogue to digital. I don't know how many of you have actually seen the analogue reel, which is a thing of the past now. We have moved on in terms of technology.
