Careers360 ranks the 100 best public and private universities established since 2008. Another 350 have been rated.
For this edition of the rankings, we have considered young institutions, established over the last 15 years, from 2008 onwards. There are 827 such degree-awarding institutions of which we have shortlisted around 500 for ranking.
Ultimately, after data analysis and verification, the 100 best institutions were picked for the overall ranking. These include 60 public and 40 private universities. The rest have been categorised based on their domain and ranked. The domain-specific rankings are also based on the overall score of the institute. The STEM institutes category includes institutions that offer science, technology, engineering and mathematics courses.
This year, young universities have also been rated. Institutions for which there was insufficient data for a ranking exercise have been rated on the basis of previous years' data. While this excludes these institutions from a comprehensive ranking, it helps potential students pick a best-fit institution based on the rating cluster.
