Every now and then, a book comes along where it’s always a joy to dip in, even if just for a few pages.
Folklore fits that description. The title’s subheading, A Journey Through the Past and Present, is a fitting prelude to what lies within, with the bulk of the material covering the 18th and 19th centuries but continuing up to the present day. Folklore thus offers its readers a blend of what might be considered traditional folkloric material with more modern-day popular culture.
