Say hello the new iPhone Air, Apple Watch 11, AirPods Pro 3 and more

Apple's latest launches!

Fresh versions of the iPhone launch every September like clockwork, but this year's show felt different. Dubbed 'Awe dropping' by Apple, rumours indicated that the event would be a momentous one weeks before it went ahead.

That was mostly down to whispers of a new, super-thin iPhone that was set to replace the Plus model in the roster, and that bore fruit in the form of the iPhone Air. Its introduction was the standout moment from the event, and Apple will be hoping it can entice customers in a way the Plus and mini models never quite managed.

At just 5.64mm thick, the iPhone Air is the thinnest iPhone ever made. That required a few novel design ideas, such as packing components into a horizontal camera bar dubbed the 'plateau' in order to save space for a larger battery in the main body. Apple says you'll get 'all-day battery life' out of the iPhone Air, despite its razor-thin size.

It uses a titanium frame and Ceramic Shield 2 for protection, while there's an A19 Pro chip on the inside, which Apple claims offers 'MacBook Pro levels of compute'. On the back is a 48MP Fusion Main Camera, which includes a 2x zoom, although the iPhone Air misses out on the dedicated Ultra Wide and Telephoto lenses that the iPhone 17 Pro has.
