They lived happily in Champakvan. Jumpy was very mischievous and always in a playful mood. Damru was simple and innocent. Other animals often troubled him and sometimes made fun of him. Jumpy did not like anyone teasing his friend.

In the same forest lived greedy Baddy fox. One day, Baddy set off with great pride to Jumbo elephant's dessert shop. Jumbo's shop was very famous for his cupcakes. He made the cupcakes with great cleanliness and effort.

When Baddy reached the shop, he saw Jumbo was asleep. But Jumbo's trunk was moving here and there, as though keeping watch, like a secret camera. When Baddy stretched out his hand to steal some cupcakes, the trunk gave him a sharp thwack on the hand. He cried out in pain. Jumbo woke up and saw Baddy rubbing his hand.

“What happened, Baddy? Why are you rubbing your hand? Did something slip out of it? Or did something fall on it?” Jumbo asked, raising his trunk.

“No, nothing like that. Nothing ever slips from my hands. I came to buy some cupcakes,” Baddy said, hesitating.

“Alright then, give me the money and take “the cupcakes,” Jumbo said with a laugh.

“Fine, here’s the money. Pack me cupcakes for ten rupees,” Baddy said reluctantly, handing him a ten-rupee note.

Jumbo took the money and placed two cupcakes on a paper plate and gave them to Baddy. But Baddy was secretly planning to steal them next time. He muttered to himself, “Next time I will eat cupcakes for free. Let’s see who can stop me.”
