THE NOUGHTIES BAD BOY HAS RETURNED AFTER A DECADE TO STEAL THE SPOTLIGHT

There must've been something in the water in the 2000s, with a slew of teen TV stars, such as The O. C.'s Adam Brody, Veronica Mars' Kristen Bell, and Dawson's Creek's Michelle Williams and Katie Holmes, still having huge success decades after their breakout roles. Among them is Chad Michael Murray.

The 44-year-old was the ultimate high-school bad boy in both Gilmore Girls and Dawson's Creek, before landing the lead role in One Tree Hill. From there, he became Hollywood's favourite young onscreen love interest for the likes of Hilary Duff, Paris Hilton and, of course, Lindsay Lohan.

"I'm very, very blessed, very fortunate and lucky to be a part of a lot of really great movies and great stories that have affected a generation," Murray told PA Media at a recent premiere of the Freaky Friday sequel, Freakier Friday. "That's really the only reason to be an actor for me. I just wanted to make people happy."
