Nirupa (Jailoshini Naidoo) has been through a lot. She’s only just recovered from a coma after her daughter Mira (Mishka Gounden) tried to poison her to get the family money, and now she’s forced to confront things that she’s tried to suppress over the past few months. “Nirupa is shaken when she finds out about everything that Mira has done. She feels confused, hurt, angry, betrayed, disappointed and disillusioned. It’s extremely hard for her to understand and accept that her own daughter would do such horrible things. But on top of that, she’s finally accepting that her lover Menzi (Muzi Mthabela, Nkosiyabo in Generations – see p18) is gone after he went missing in December 2021,” says the actress. And now Nirupa wants revenge for her ruined life.
