Jurassic World star Bryce Dallas Howard shares her passion for all creatures great and small

Her parents — Oscar-winning director Ron Howard and his wife, Cheryl — instilled a love of animals in her at an early age. Now, at 44, Los Angeles native Bryce Dallas Howard has taken that passion to the small screen with a documentary dedicated to our four-legged friends.

“I love pets!” she tells us. “I’m one of those annoying people that, if you're friends with me, you're going to inevitably wake up every morning to a zillion texts of silly pet videos.”

The film, simply titled Pets, “took years to get made,” says the actress, who is excited to see her idea come to fruition. It’s a family affair: the Jurassic World star — wife of actor Seth Gabel and mom to Theodore, 18, and Beatrice, 13 — enlisted her famous dad as producer.

Here, Bryce sits down with Hello! Canada to discuss her love of furry friends and how they – along with her children – changed her life.
