ROYALS TOP THE STYLE STAKES AT ASCOT

The King, the Queen and the Prince of Wales lead an impressive turnout of royals and celebrities, all dressed to the nines, at the prestigious racing event

His wife may not have been by his side, but the Prince of Wales was in fine form as he donned a top hat and tails to attend Ascot with his father, the King, last week.

The event is always a highlight in the society calendar and this year’s races were no exception, with His Majesty, the Queen and Prince William leading an impressive turnout of royals on the famous Berkshire track.

Her Majesty was lauded for her style choices throughout the week, turning in a series of elegant looks including a wrap dress from Dior and an emerald-green gown by Anna Valentine.

On each day of the annual equestrian event, the King and Queen led the carriage procession, waving to onlookers as they made their way down the world-famous track.

As usual, the meeting was very much a family affair for the royals, with many showing their affection for each other as they mingled at the racecourse.

FAMILY DAY OUT

Zara Tindall, elegant in a blue Rebecca Vallance dress and a pink hat from Sarah Cant, was pictured talking to her mother, the Princess Royal, who wore a green suit.

The pair, both former Olympic equestrians, kissed each other in greeting before enjoying a warm conversation as they took in the proceedings.

And they weren't the only relatives who enjoyed a fun day out together. The Princess of Wales's mother Carole was seen in the royal box alongside Kate’s sister-in-law, Alizee Thevenet. Carole wore a lace look from Me+Em, while Alizee, the wife of the Princess’s brother James Middleton, was chic in an outfit by Longchamp.
