LEGENDARY surfer and Pirates of the Caribbean actor Tamayo Perry was killed by sharks in an attack so gruesome that only a part of his mutilated body was found.

The 49-year-old champion wave-rider, who appeared in the fourth Pirates epic, was found with an arm and leg missing by surfers off Malaekahana Beach on Oahu's North Shore.
