Donnie will star in a new Blue Bloods spinoff without his "great mentor" Tom
BLUE BLOODS alum Tom Selleck is seeing red over the ultimate betrayal — former costar and protégé Donnie Wahlberg is stealing his beloved TV show!
The 80-year-old former Magnum, P.I. star bitterly fought CBS execs to keep his hit show Blue Bloods on the air — and lost. Now sources say he hit the roof when he learned Donnie will be the star of the show's just-announced spinoff, Boston Blue.
The new series will reunite viewers with Donnie's character, NYPD officer Danny Reagan, as he moves to the Hub and joins the Boston police department, where he'll team up with detective Lena Peters, a character from a prominent law enforcement family.

PHIL DANIELS plays a restless London youth in the 1979 British movie Quadrophenia, based on the Who's rock opera - but oddly, the chaotic production was not a musical, and the Who does not even appear in it! The lead was supposed to go to JOHN LYDON - better known as Johnny Rotten of notorious punk band the Sex Pistols - but the film's distributors thought he was too dicey a personality to insure. Nevertheless, production did not go smoothly. The Who's legendary drummer, KEITH MOON, died during filming, and a brawl scene in the seaside city of Brighton used two real- life rival gangs, resulting in a \"real riot - health and safety didn't come into it,\" according to Daniels.
