AMERICAN spy hunters are cheering the capture of a top Pentagon official suspected of looting the U.S. military of vital secrets and passing them to the Chinese commies.

While the FBI is still surveying the full scope of longtime Pentagon and State Department adviser Ashley Tellis' alleged betrayal, G-men say they discovered 1,200-plus smoking-gun files marked “Top Secret” or “Secret” in his Vienna, Va., home during an Oct. 11 raid. The files were reportedly hidden in two locked cabinets, a desk and three trash bags in a storage room.

Tellis was a senior adviser on George W. Bush's National Security Council staff
