SCIENTISTS at Virginia Tech have made a groundbreaking advancement in the fight against glioblastoma, one of the most lethal and aggressive forms of brain cancer.

The most common type of malignant brain tumor, the disease gives patients a life expectancy of just over 14 months post-diagnosis.

Standard treatment involves surgery to remove as much of the tumor as possible, followed by radiation and chemotherapy.
