ADITYA SEAL WENT SIGHTSEEING IN LONDON WITH HIS MUM AND MISSUS IN TOW. SRIJANI ROY CHOWDHURY PEEKS INTO HIS ITINERARY

NAMASTE LONDON

Some might say that travelling to London in January is a bold choice… freezing temperatures, unpredictable rain and shorter days. But for Aditya Seal, it was the perfect time. With no overwhelming tourist crowds, the city’s charm was wrapped in winter’s crisp embrace. Armed with layers (and a stubborn sense of adventure), Aditya, his wife Anushka Ranjan and his mother, Manju Seal, braved the cold to experience London in a more intimate and cosy way. This trip wasn’t just about sightseeing; it was about creating memories and introducing his mother to the city’s history, food and culture. They indulged in impromptu shopping at Camden Market and navigated the local pub scene. From iconic landmarks to spontaneous moments, every day brought something new. And despite the occasional rain throwing their plans into disarray, London never failed to impress the Seal family.

imageDOS AND DON'TS OF VISITING LONDON DO:

* Use an Oyster card or contactless payment for cheaper and more convenient transport.

* Stand on the right side of escalators to allow people to pass on the left.

* Carry an umbrella as the weather in London can be unpredictable.

* Explore beyond the main tourist spots like Camden, Notting Hill and hidden gems throughout the city.

Queue patiently and wait your turn, it's an essential part of British culture!

DON'T: * Block the Tube doors, always allow people to exit before you board.

* Plan activities during rush hour (typically 7 am to 9 am and 5 pm to 7 pm) as public transport can get extremely crowded.

* Expect too much personal space in crowded areas; London can get busy, especially on the Tube.

*Scream or speak loudly, keep your voice low, particularly on public transport to maintain a quiet atmosphere.
