Southern Railway has approved a new project for the Provision of Passenger Information System (PIS) at key stations in its Salem Division as part of the Amrit Bharat Scheme. The project covers the supply, installation, testing, and commissioning of advanced passenger information and digital display systems at Tirupattur, Samalpatti, Morappur, Bommidi, and Salem stations. It also includes a comprehensive Annual Maintenance Contract for five years.
