Lumax Industries Limited's Chakan Plant 3 is one of the newer facilities in the Lumax network, established in 2023 to manufacture the latest technology lamps for premium vehicles in high volume. In its short operational life, it has achieved the JIPM TPM Excellence Award 2025, a remarkable recognition for a facility still in its early years. Under Manoranjan Pattanaik's leadership, the plant has delivered OEE of 83.5%, First Pass Yield of 99.7%, and productivity measured in output per operator per month has grown from 180 to 251 units, a 39% improvement. COPQ has been reduced from 2.5% of sale in FY 2024-25 to 2.05% in FY 2025-26. Setup and adjustment losses have been cut by 45% through ECRS technique, and OEE in the injection moulding section has improved by 18%.

TECHNOLOGY AND INNOVATION
