Multimodal Confluence 2025

Logistics & SCM

|

July 2025

The first edition of the 'Multimodal Confluence' delved into the key role of the ocean, road, and rail transportation in ensuring efficient last mile connectivity.

Multimodal Confluence 2025

With the government prioritising improvements in road and rail infrastructure, industry experts offered insights into existing gaps, increasing freight costs, fuel price fluctuations, and the transition to EVs and green transport—guiding businesses to optimise logistics, cut expenses, and boost supply chain performance.

Prajakta Karnik, Editor, Logistics Outlook, set the tone for the event stating that India’s logistics sector is undergoing a generational shift – from fragmented and cost heavy operations to integrated, tech-enabled and sustainable solutions. The spotlight is firmly on multimodal transportation as a game-changer in this transition. With nearly 14 per cent of our GDP currently spent on logistics, compared to 8-9 per cent in developed economies – the need to optimise and integrate out transport modes is not just strategic, it is urgent.

Rahul Sequeira, Managing Director, ITP Media India welcomed the gathering stating that the Multimodal Confluence has been designed at a time when India is looking at becoming a USD 5 trillion economy and the logistics industry is set to play a pivotal role in driving this growth. At ITP Media India, the focus is on building meaningful conversations and creating value for the readers through effective collaborations and conferences.
