AIA Group's journey toward building a future-ready workforce began in 2020 with the launch of its ambitious Technology, Digital, and Analytics (TDA) transformation strategy. Recognising that digital transformation success depends fundamentally on human capability, the pan-Asian life and health insurance leader established AIA Digital+ in 2022 as a TDA innovation hub, driving the company's mission to help millions across Asia-Pacific live Healthier, Longer, Better Lives.
AIA Digital+ establishes cloud academy to bridge skills gap
The AIA Cloud Academy became the cornerstone of this initiative, equipping employees across all 18 markets with future-ready skills whilst advancing the organisation's cloud-first strategy. Aligned with AIA's Employee Value Proposition "Believe in Better," the Academy fostered a culture where "Better Starts with You," providing employees with unprecedented growth opportunities through comprehensive training, development, and hands-on experience.
What sets AIA's approach apart is its integration of training with business execution. Rather than treating upskilling as a separate initiative, AIA Digital+ designed the Academy as a business enabler, ensuring that training efforts directly supported the company's cloud transformation goals.
