Since 2002, home textiles major Maspar has been embellishing the home furnishings category in India with solutions that are premium, international and trend-setting

The Home of Innovation & Excellence

Mahajan Overseas has been manufacturing home textiles for prestigious international brands since 1969. In 2002, the company launched Maspar in India to showcase the best in home fashion. Its range included home textiles, home furnishings, coordinated collections, kitchen and bath linen, beddings, throws, cushions, curtains, quilts, and duvet covers among other products.

The Back Story

When Rajesh Mahajan launched Maspar in 2002 with the intention to retail innovative home furnishings products in a premium price bracket, he encountered many naysayers. In India, the home textiles retail business was limited to sheets, towels, quilts, curtains and upholstery. What innovation could he sell successfully, they asked.

In response, Mahajan drew on his rich engagement with customers in the West, to develop new categories and customer service practices that were unheard of in 2002. "We had a money-back policy even 13 years ago," Mahajan noted in an earlier interaction with IMAGES Retail. "Over 40 years of conducting business with the western world had taught me how to interpret customer expectations."
