Four years ago, as the world fell silent under the weight of a global pandemic and certainty vanished, founder Natwar Nagar proposed launching a venture that would reimagine human capital advisory.

That vision found its champions in Anupama Jaiswal and Ambika Gautam, two women leaders who transformed an audacious idea into reality, building The People Network from modest home workspaces into one of India’s most respected talent acquisition firms.

Leadership expertise of Ambika Gautam

Ambika Gautam brings over two decades of talent acquisition experience, orchestrating leadership succession and team placements for the real estate, hospitality, and allied sectors. “Real estate in India is more than bricks and mortar — it’s ambition, transformation, and vision. Over the years, I've worked alongside some of the industry's most influential players, helping them find the leaders who don’t just manage growth, but inspire it,” she shares. From legacy builders reshaping skylines to private equity funds disrupting the norm, she specialises in strategic leadership searches that align people with purpose, ensuring the right minds are at the helm of the right missions.

As a Founder-Partner at The People Network, Ambika continues to nurture the firm’s vision of serving organisations’ strategic and tactical people imperatives. Before this, she was part of HVS and Hotelivate, providing full-service search consulting and execution to the global hospitality realm, focusing on India’s real estate, restaurant, and retail sectors. Armed with a Psychology degree from LSR and an MBA in Human Resources, she applies deep organisational insight to craft nuanced, service-industry-focused talent strategies. Outside work, she enjoys travel, art, antiques, and exploring culinary experiences.
