It's true that Cartoon Network ruled our hearts for over a generation and it is a treasure of nostalgia for kids of 90s and 2000s. Ted Turner, the owner of CNN, the first 24-hour Television News channel felt that kids should be able to watch cartoons whenever they want to, and so, launched Cartoon Network, a 24-hour television cartoon channel. The channel was launched on October 1, 1992 after Turned purchased the Hanna-Barbera Productions in 1991 for $320 million. Hanna-Barbera Productions used to host some famous shows like Popeye, The Looney Tunes and more.
