Despite being raised in a low middle-class family, bogged down by financial constraints, Mishra schooled himself to quietly keep the flame of his dreams alive. Even academic mediocrity made no dent on his growing aspirations to live a life beyond the ordinary. Neither did his depression and bipolar disorder, or the five near-death experiences. For others, dreams may have been a privilege; for Mishra they were a lifeline. Rebellion against the cards fate had dealt him, became the springboard for grasping any opportunity to transform his life.
