In the heart of Bangladesh's vigorous landscape, the CCDB Climate Center stands as an inspiration of innovation and hope, leading the charge in the fight against climate change. Established by the Christian Commission for Development in Bangladesh (CCDB), this innovative facility is the first in the nation, dedicated to fostering climate resilience and promoting sustainable and low-carbon development.

CCDB Climate Center: Towards Resilience For A Climate-Sensitive Future

Transforming Vision into Reality

Since its inception in 1973, CCDB has aspired to create a society where people live in peace, dignity, and harmony with all God's creations. The Climate Change Program, launched in 2009, builds on this vision by addressing the urgent need for climate-sensitive and resilient communities. CCDB Climate Center, as a flagship initiative of CCDB, serves as a regional knowledge hub designed to mainstream transformative community-led adaptation and reduce climate risks through innovation, capacity development, and knowledge dissemination. The Center also fosters collaborations for action research, joint project development, fund mobilization, exposure visits, interactive learning, and development and demonstration of innovative climatic solutions.

Unique Features

•First-ever climate knowledge Center in Bangladesh is located on a serene 57acre piece of land.

•Mimics the environment, lives, and livelihoods of five climate hotspot zones - coastal, drought, hill, wetland, and floodplain.
