The panel discussion on "Industry 4.0: Changing the landscape with Deep Tech" saw the participation of Amit Kumar Anand, CTO Enterprise Solutions, Nokia India, Sharad Kumar Agarwal, CDIO, JK Tyre, and Sunil David, Digital Technology Consultant & Ex-Regional Director (IOT), ATT India. It was moderated by Shubhendu Parth, Editor, Voice&Data.

GETTING THE TRUE VALUE OF DATA REALIZATION

Anand said the world is moving toward digitization and going green. Physical industries faced problems during lockdown. Automation is now happening. We are getting real data from the shop floors. Industry 4.0 is moving at great speed. Machines are going to new Internet users. It is going to be a fusion of different technologies. Managements are focusing on how to start the digitizing journey.

Agarwal said Industry 4.0 has trends such as autonomous vehicles, etc. Machines are now doing what was done by human intelligence. The output of Industry 4.0 will lead to Quality 4.0. Sunil David noted that it is a true integration of cyber and physical systems. The real value will come with true digitalization, and getting the power of data. It will lead to cost reduction, and improve customer experience. The adoption still needs a lot of improvement. Lot of MSMEs also need to adopt Industry 4.0. We further need to get the whole ecosystem together. It will improve efficiencies. We can get the true value of data realization.
