Air China and Rolls-Royce JV

Air China and Rolls-Royce have announced they are entering into a new joint venture in Beijing.

The new joint venture, Beijing Aero Engine Services Co. Ltd will provide engine maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) support on the Rolls-Royce Trent 700, Trent XWB-84 and Trent 1000 aero engines. Air China currently has all three engine types in its fleet.

Air China and Rolls-Royce each hold 50 per cent of the shares in the joint venture, with the contract amount at about 2.61 billion yuan (about $378.2 million).
