A waterfront Boston property feels more like a luxury resort than an urban hotel

NO AIRPORT ARRIVAL transfer in the United States is as dramatic as the water-taxi ride from Logan across Boston Harbor.

Yet if your destination is the Boston Harbor Hotel on Rowes Wharf, where the shuttles arrive in the city, this epic trip takes just 10 to 15 minutes, no longer than an Uber—that is, if you were lucky enough to avoid the city's infamous traffic. (A number of scenic harbor cruises and charters are also available from Rowes Wharf.) But while the trip is impressive, so is the destination. The Boston Harbor Hotel is the grande dame of the waterfront, the city's original Forbes 5-Star and AAA Five-Diamond property, and still the only one on the harbor.
