MONINDER JAIN, VP and Head of Emerging Markets, Logitech spoke to BW Businessworld’s Deep Majumdar about the company’s growth journey, its expanding India footprint, and the trends shaping the PC peripherals market. Excerpts:
-
You have been with Logitech for more than two decades now. What would you say has changed substantially over the course of time? What would you say are the key rising trends shaping this industry (PC peripherals)?
Our journey at Logitech over the last twenty years has been one of strategic evolution, moving beyond mice and keyboards to a broader suite of webcams, headsets, and speakers, leveraging past learnings. This positioned us strongly for video conferencing; the pandemic accelerated adoption, yet with global meeting room penetration still low, significant future potential exists.
We’re also deeply invested in Esports and PC gaming; while challenges like infrastructure currently temper growth in markets like India, the low base suggests future acceleration. The personal workspace trend, amplified post-Covid as users seek better setups, provides another significant tailwind, particularly as PC usage grows in markets like India. We see strong, accelerating trends in these areas and believe our preparation and commitment to innovation position us effectively to capitalise.
When you joined Logitech in 2004, what were your immediate concerns as the country manager?
