On how 2024 turned out...The year 2024 has been remarkable for the real estate sector in India. During this period the sector grew at an astonishing pace led by the rise in the sale of residential property and the increase in consumer confidence in the real estate market. One of the most striking developments in 2024 was the surge in consumer preference for luxury housing. An increasing number of consumers chose to switch towards better lifestyle, prime locations and high-end living spaces. This indicates that buyers are understanding the value and influence of luxury real estate. According to a report by CREDAI-MCHI, there has been an 18 per cent increase in the sale value of India's top property markets which amounted to Rs 279,309 crore in the first half of FY 2024-25.
