India's dilemma: Bangladesh means good business, yet has to ensure Hasina's safety

The United Nations have condemned the death sentence issued by Bangladesh's International Crime Tribunal (ICT) on Sheikh Hasina; but has urged the Bangladesh government to arrange reparation for families of 1400 people who were killed in the police repression ordered in August last year by Hasina.
Ironically, the ICT court which has pronounced the death sentence for Hasina was constituted by Hasina herself earlier for the trial of the 'war criminals' of 1971 Bangladesh liberation. At least 12 people, including Pakistani supporters (called rajakars) and a few opposition BNP members were publicly executed among widespread protests.
