A sublime blend of the past and the present
ACE Update Design Sense

"The design process of this home didn't follow the conventions of beginning with spatial layouts and material palettes, and furniture and furnishing choices. Instead, it began with an inventory."
-
This 4,400 sq.ft home, in the heart of Chennai, was carefully curated to reflect quiet elegance that honours the past while gracefully embracing the present. “Raaga”, the home, was designed for a family who had moved back to Chennai after living in Manila for over two decades. The major intent was to design the space to house all the furniture, artefacts, and objects collected over the years of travel.
Instead of the conventional manner with spatial layouts and material choices, the design process began with an inventory. The clients shared a detailed account of every item they were bringing back.

A quiet architectural dialogue between city sea and sky
