What better way to bid farewell to winter than a drive up to some snow-capped mountains in a Thar Roxx?
-
The Mahindra Thar - a brand that has become synonymous with adventure. Since its launch, the Thar has established itself as the ultimate 4x4 SUV in the country. And, now, with the arrival of the Thar Roxx - the 5-door version - this capable off-roader has become even more enticing for SUV enthusiasts.
While we have had our fair share of fun driving the Thar Roxx on multiple occasions, it would have been almost criminal not to experience its true capabilities in its natural habitat. So, before the winter bid adieu, we decided to take the Thar Roxx on an epic road trip of about 1,000km to the snow-capped hills of Uttarakhand.
GETTING TO THE TOP For our snow adventure, we chose the quaint town of Harsil in Uttarkashi district as our destination. Situated at an altitude of 9,000 feet, Harsil receives heavy snowfall during the winter, making it an ideal location for our adventure. However, reaching there is no easy feat - in fact, the roads to Harsil can be downright treacherous, and not to mention, prone to landslides. Having said that, with an SUV as capable as the Thar Roxx, we had nothing to worry about.
As we began the journey from Delhi, the Thar Roxx immediately impressed us with its practicality and spacious cabin. Thanks to the addition of two more doors, the Thar Roxx is now a proper family SUV and can easily accommodate your weekend adventure gear without any trouble. So, after loading up the boot of the Thar Roxx with all the essentials, off we went in search of the white gold.Bu hikaye autoX dergisinin February 2025 baskısından alınmıştır.
