Gov't confirms EVs eligible for grant

Savings of up to £3750 are available on new electric vehicles costing less than £37,000, but most get £1500 off

MODELS FROM CITROËN, Nissan, Renault, Vauxhall and Volkswagen are among the first to officially qualify for the Government's new Electric Car Grant (ECG).

The ECG applies a discount of either £3750 or £1500 to sales of new electric vehicles (EVs) priced below £37,000, with eligibility also depending on how green the vehicle is in terms of its carbon emissions during production.
