SKAIFE'S R32 GT-R

A NISSAN R32 GT-R originally belonging to touring car legend Mark Skaife, has recently changed hands for an undisclosed sum through South Australian dealer, Mark Hocking Special Vehicles.

Given its provenance, this significant and highly prized R32 Nissan GT-R had an asking price of $250,000 and interest by collectors and motor-sport fans from around the country, was intense.

The Red Pearl metallic GT-R is one of only 96 road registered examples of the 100 that were imported (the other four were turned in to race cars) and was presented to Mark Skaife after winning the 1992 Australian Touring Car Championship, his first of five championships, by Fred Gibson, of Gibson Motorsport who ran Nissan's motor-sport programs.
