Lately, I have been doing something I haven't done in years: I sit down with a piece of paper and a fountain pen to simply write.

No glowing blue light, no autocorrect judging my grammar, and definitely no clicking cacophony from my mechanical keyboard. It has become my new ritual for winding down at night. It's slow, it's arguably inefficient, but it feels real. Heck, I'm not even sure what I will do with the pages once I am done with them, but in the moment, it feels very relaxing. I'm starting to suspect I'm not alone in this digital fatigue, either. This craving for the analogue isn't always rational, of course. But in our rush to digitise the world, we forgot that humans are tactile creatures who find confidence in resistance and weight. The fact that vinyl records are selling at all, let alone outselling CDs, is a definitive sign of this. Film cameras are back in the hands of Gen Z youth, too.
