New Track, Familiar Hat-tricks

Reigning WorldSBK champion Toprak Razgatlioglu's commendable momentum continued despite the challenge posed by a new circuit and mixed weather conditions

THE 2025 SEASON SAW THE WorldSBK racing championship not only celebrate a new circuit addition in the form of Balaton Park in Hungary, but it also happened to be the venue for the championship's 1,000th race.

Despite the challenge of a new layout, however, some things remained unchanged as the reigning two-time champion, Toprak Razgatlioglu (ROKIT BMW Motorrad WorldSBK Team), took the WorldSBK racing championship's first pole position at Balaton Park, albeit with red flag incidents interrupting the final runs. Sam Lowes (ELF Marc VDS Racing Team) was almost half a second behind in second place, with Andrea Locatelli (Pata Maxus Yamaha) rounding off the front row in third position.
