To explore the best routes in the coastal region of Maharastra, you need a trusted motorcycle that can take some serious beating to break free from the mundane and venture into the unknown. That's exactly what this ride was about. A journey of exploration, adventure, and an unwavering spirit of discovery. It was me, my thoughts, and the Brixton Crossfire 500 XC taking on the coastal routes of Maharashtra, from Ratnagiri to Bombay.

SETTING OFF INTO THE DARKNESS

The adventure began in the dead of night, rolling out of Kolhapur under a star-drenched sky. The air was crisp, colder than expected, but the strong headlight ahead cut through the darkness, leading the way. The first reward of the journey came sooner than expected—Anuskura Ghat, one of Maharashtra's finest roads. At night, it transforms into a different beast, testing both machine and rider in a way that daylight never could.

With every mile, the temperature rose, and so did the anticipation. The road ahead promised both treachery and beauty, a perfect proving ground for the Brixton Crossfire 500 XC. But this was more than just about testing a motorcycle—it was about finding a deeper connection with exploration itself.

THE ROADS LESS TAKEN

Riding along the coast is an experience like no other. The roads wind and twist through stunning landscapes, revealing new sights at every turn. But I had something a little more challenging in mind. The real test wasn't just about cruising smooth tarmac but pushing the Brixton into the roughest, most demanding conditions I could find. Treacherous trails, gravel-strewn paths, and unforgiving terrain—this was where the motorcycle would show its true character.
