Misogyny and homophobia, the glorification of drugs and violence... and that’s even before you get into the genre’s crimes against cars and watches. If a car has oversized rims or any kind of jewellery encrusted wrap, you can be pretty sure hip hop is to blame. Same with watches. A big blingy watch became part of the look from the early days.
