What's more appealing than a gleaming motor, especially when it’s your own? Not much in my book. Responding enthusiastically to an invitation from Autoglym, the Letchworth-based gurus of car cleaning, I took my Alpine to their HQ to benefit from a treatment called LifeShine, which cleans and seals the surfaces so they gleam for years. While my car was cleaned and treated by an industry expert called Karl Heath (who reckons he has the main assets required for his job: OCD and a love of cars), I toured Autoglym’s site, which includes an R&D lab and an impressively busy packing facility. Both underscored the company’s dedication to quality and service.
