Volkswagen has launched its flagship SUV at Rs 49 lakh (ex-showroom). Can the brand new Tiguan R-Line deliver on the promise of a performance-oriented SUV? We went on the prowl for answers
The Tiguan R-Line is Volkswagen’s flagship model in the country. Why is that important? This also happens to be an extremely popular product in global markets. Could that mean it can make it here as well? Before we get to answering these questions, it’s important to know that the Tiguan has been around in India since 2017, we got the Allspace in 2020 and then the newer model in 2021. This brings us to the third-generation Tiguan R-Line and that ‘R’ is quite important, because that means this is a more performance-oriented SUV for our market. Can it deliver on being the sportiest SUV of them all? We recently had a go with the Tiguan R-Line and these are our first impressions.
