Scooters fall under very well-defined categories in India. There is the family scooter lot, which includes the likes of the Honda Activa, Honda Activa 125, TVS Jupiter and the Yamaha Fascino, among others. Then there is the sporty category, which includes the TVS NTorq, Yamaha Aerox 155 and so on. But if there has been one scooter that has been able to please the family and the enthusiast, it has been the Access 125. So when the scooter goes through a generation change, things can swing either way!

imageIn its third generation, the Suzuki Access has surely become sleeker than before. The front fenders and lower leg shield are made of metal, and the top end makes do with plastics. There is a new LED DRL, which sits in the middle of the apron and comes as a standard feature across all variants. The indicator design has also been revised, and so has the headlight, which is now an LED unit. The switchgear has been revised too and is of good quality.

imageMoving on to the instrument console, the Access 125 comes with a fully digital unit for the top-of-the-line variants. It indicates most parameters, including engine temperature. The unit is easy to read as well. The variants with digital instruments also get Bluetooth connectivity while the base version makes do with old school analogue dials.
