Two replaced by one as Merc CLE is revealed

Stylish new two-door shown, Replaces C-Class and E-Class

AFTER axing its C-Class and E-Class Coupés and Cabriolets, Mercedes is covering off this ever-narrowing niche in the market with a single all-new model called the CLE.

The styling is familiar and the CLE shares much of its design language with the latest C-Class and E-Class saloons. The long doors and tapering roofline mean the CLE is one of the sleekest, most style-led offerings in Mercedes' line-up, and while pricing hasn't been announced, the brand's premium status means that it's likely to kick off from around £50,000 when it goes on sale in November this year.
