How can I help my grass grow?
The Country Smallholder
|July 2025
Q Because of the dry weather my grass looks really bad and its got me thinking that I need to start planning some serious management for it. I’m thinking its about time we started to think about fertilising on a regular basis but I’m not sure of the benefits.

A Jonathan Cox, Suregrow Fertiliser Specialist replies:
At Suregrow Fertiliser Ltd, we understand the vital role that nutrient-rich pasture plays in the well-being of grazing animals. Whether you manage horses, ponies, cattle, sheep or goats, high-quality grass is essential for healthy digestion, strong hooves and overall vitality. However, not all pasture is created equal - bad grass, depleted soil and invasive weeds can leave grazing animals struggling for nourishment. That’s where Suregrow Fertiliser comes in. Fertiliser does more than just enhance grass growth - it restores health, rejuvenates grass production and suppresses weeds naturally. Looking at our make of fertiliser, this is what would expect it to do for your grassland
