Daddy Dearest

What made him so?

Colonel R Bhadran has been the commanding Officer of the First Battalion, IV Gorkha Rifles, before moving on to become a manager in Group Four Securities. His next move was with the ICFAI National College as their beloved principal. Next he became south India head of VFS Global. He then moved on to become an infrastructure head with Educomp Solutions. Finally, he found his true calling as CEO of Positive Securities. But, to me, this multifaceted, multi talented gentleman has always been just daddy. The first person to cry when I got married and left home. The last person to go to bed at night, on the days I didn't reach home on time, just to give me a verbal thrashing.

Daddy has been my biggest critic and source of encouragement. He hates the fact that I have a limited knowledge of world politics and government policies and constantly chides me about it. He loved it when I held a 9am-6pm job and was always curious, about what I did in office every day. And when I was not around, he would brag about the silliest of my achievements, to all and sundry.
