Stones legend Ronnie Wood’s son opens up about the perils of the rock’n’roll high life
HAVING A ROCK STAR DAD ALMOST KILLED ME!

Being alive and well at 73 is an achievement in itself for The Rolling Stones’ famed bass guitarist Ronnie Wood. The rock legend was once so addicted to drugs and alcohol that his fellow band member Keith Richards allegedly held a gun to his head in a bid to make him stop using, with his stints in rehab and battles with substance abuse even threatening to overshadow his brilliant career.

‘NORMAL’ DRUG LIFE

And now one of the star’s six children, Jamie Wood, 45, has laid bare the shocking reality of being raised by a member of one of the world’s most outrageous and popular rock bands.

Jamie, who Ronnie shares with his second wife, model Jo Wood, confessed last month that growing up the son of a Stone saw him go down a dark path and even almost killed him.

“Drugs were normal in my family,” the father-of-four revealed. “It was part and parcel of my upbringing. Drugs were normal in my family but outside they were demonised,” he explained, noting that other parents wouldn’t let their kids come over to the Wood household after school.
