Our new home was in very good condition throughout and had been well looked after, but it all felt a little jaded, and just not very ‘us’, especially in the kitchen,’ says Rose. ‘The white, high-gloss kitchen units were really starting to show their age, there were lots of upper units that made the room feel crowded, and the lower units stopped annoyingly short of the wall towards the garden door.
