He's Happier With His Kids

Kwaito star Arthur Mafokate is making sacrifices when it comes to his children and has chosen to rather spend time with them than do business

LEGENDARY King of Kwaito, Arthur Mafokate, is best known for making hit songs and filling arenas. However, the owner of 999 Music has chosen to walk away from the spotlight and business matters and is now devoting his time to his four children.

FAMILY FIRST

The Soweto-born star says he has chosen to dedicate his time to his children, especially the younger ones, Owami (16), Kelello (13) and Onalenna (5), than sealing business deals.

His eldest son, Arthur Jr, is a grown man with a career of his own in the music industry. Arthur says he is mindful of the consequences his decision will have on his financial status, but he will not trade time with his children for any amount of money because he’s now a happier person.

“Honestly speaking, since I started spending time with my children, I lost a lot of deals because of cutting down my business schedule to attend to them,” he says.
