Q QI have fine, dry hair that easily gets limp when I use too much hair product. What can I use to keep my hair hydrated and healthy without weighing them down? ~ Siddhika

Hair styling products can weigh fine hair down. Avoid using them, especially in hot and humid weather. Use less shampoo when you wash your hair and follow it up with a hair rinse. Applying the white of an egg 20 minutes before shampooing helps to add volume to the hair. Add a few drops of eau-decologne to a mug of water and use it as a last rinse to get rid of any unpleasant odours. Henna treatments also help to add body, as does this hair mask: take four teaspoons each of lemon juice and coffee, add two eggs and enough yogurt to mix into a paste, and apply liberally. You can also rinse your hair with beer after shampooing for extra shine and volume. Beer contains glycerin and helps dry, limp hair regain its lustre. Add the lemon juice to some flat beer and rinse the hair with it. Leave it on for five minutes and rinse off with plain water.
