What Hi-Fi Sound and Vision
|November 2021
As the supreme leader of a hi-fi conglomerate, Paul Jacobs has his hands full with new acquisitions, celebratory products and a pipeline of products that will have every AV enthusiast interested in the Premium Audio Company. Their ever increasing portfolio of brands now includes Klipsch, Jamo, Pioneer, Elite, Onkyo, Integra, Heco, Energy, Magnat and more! Nishant Padhiar chats with the CEO entrusted with these world-class brands.

Both, your portfolio and your responsibilities seem to be growing every year with the consolidation of more brands. Which is your pet project at the moment?
Our portfolio has certainly grown since acquiring the Onkyo, Integra, Pioneer and Elite brands. We now offer an innovative and complete audio video solutions portfolio. I am focused on maximizing the leadership, strategy, distribution and product assortment for the portfolio across the enterprise to ensure growth opportunities for the next 75 years and beyond. My true focus and passion is to ensure that equal love is given to each of our brands in order for them to achieve maximum success.
The Mclaren association is currently limited to the Klipsch wearable category. Will we see Mclaren embellishments on the home audio or desktop speaker range too?
As the official headphone and portable audio partner of the McLaren Formula 1 team, Klipsch has introduced two co-branded true wireless earphones with McLaren to date. We are expanding this collection of products to include Klipsch The Fives McLaren Edition high resolution powered monitors this year, and a portable speaker in the coming year. Because the pandemic hit right at the beginning of our newly formed relationship, it did slow down some progress. Over time, we see a full range of premium high-performance products developed with McLaren.
Klipsch is presumably the crown jewel of the Premium Audio Co. with more emphasis on the Heritage Series than before now. Will we see a 75th-anniversary line-up?
We are introducing a limited edition 75th Anniversary Klipschorn in November! In addition, the long-awaited Klipsch Jubilee, Paul Klipsch's final project will be introduced in 2022.
