Kieran Tierney was delighted with Celtic’s performance and result as they cruised into the Scottish Cup final.

KIERAN Tierney was delighted with another Celtic victory at Hampden as the Hoops swept Aberdeen aside, scoring three goals without reply to book a place in next month’s Scottish Cup final against Hearts.

James Forrest, Odsonne Edouard and Tom Rogic were all on target for Neil Lennon’s side, while an ill-disciplined Dons side ended the game with nine men after two of their players were dismissed.

For Tierney and his team-mates, they’ll have a cup final to look forward to, although the focus will now switch to getting the Premiership title wrapped up.

Speaking after the game, the Celtic defender said: “It was a great performance from the boys. We played well for 90 minutes. Having the extra men obviously helped us but that’s football. You need to take advantage of those situations and we did.

“You need to play your game in those situations and we did that. It was a scrappy, physical game at times but we played good football.
