Despite being just over two weeks out from the Tour de France, the pro peloton's fast men are yet to show their best form this season.
The Tour of Slovenia last week was expected to give a bit more clarity on the sprinters’ hierarchy, but the two flat stages in the race threw up a surprise winner in Simone Consonni on a hectic stage one, before the in-form and underrated Dylan Groenewegen (Lotto-NL Jumbo) took the honours on stage two.
